Chief Executive

Mark co-founded and leads Chromition with responsibility for overseeing business development and operational activities. He has structured & secured equity investment, non-dilutive funding, development contracts and multiple technical partnerships. His previous experience includes managing a technology portfolio for a commercialisation office and as a consultant/project-leader contributed to an SMEs initial growth to IPO.

Benjamin Lidster    ​(PhD, MSc, BSc)​

Chief  Scientist

Benjamin heads Chromition's technical effort, product design and patent exemplification. Additionally, he manages the technical team and is industrial supervisor to a team of scientists based in Health & Life Sciences and the School of Chemistry at the University of Manchester. Previously, Benjamin has 5 years’ experience in the design, synthesis and application of novel materials and has worked in laboratories internationally.

Mark Frost     (MBA, BSc)​ ​

Chairman

Mark is Chromition’s Chairman who previously co-founded and built ColorMatrix Europe Ltd, from a start up in Manchester in 1993 to a $200M business when sold in 2011 for $486M. He started as operations director and then took over business and technology development. Also, he was instrumental in three acquisitions in the UK, Finland and Argentina and two sale processes, first to Private Equity and then a Wall Street listed multinational.

Perry van Rijsingen   (MSc, BSc)

Strategic   Advisor

Perry is a non-executive director and strategic advisor to Chromition-Digital Diagnostic Solutions. Previously, as CEO of Digital Pathology Solutions (2011-2015) he grew revenues to £250M and was founding CEO of Philips Healthcare Incubator,   reporting  directly to the Philips Board of Management (2006-2015).  Also during his time with Philips, he has lived and worked in the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, Argentina & Germany.

Michael   Turner    (FRS, PhD, BSc)

 Scientific Advisor

Michael is co-founder, non-executive director and Technical Advisor of Chromition with 15 years’ experience in the synthesis & application of novel materials. For over a decade leading OMIC, a UK centre of excellence, he has raised substantial grant income from funding agencies, been involved with hundreds of industrial projects and consulted for a number of SMEs and multinationals from his network.
